Wanted her to have something she could easily use to Skype, play solitaire etc. Unit arrived, well packed and quickly. Being used to Android I found it very simple to set up for her and she has used it very successfully. I was so pleased consequently got one for myself and my daughter bought one. Unfortunately I did experience a problem with mine, but customer service was excellent and it was sorted very efficiently with a free in car charger being offered as compensation for the inconvenience of not having it for a couple of days.

All in all I think this is excellent value for money - it does everything I need it to do - emails, skype, web, etc. It is light and easy to use and with a small cost APP I can create and amend word, excel documents easily and print from our wifi printer.

I purchased this tablet from Amazon in June 2012 after reading a lot of positive reviews. I have had nothing but problems with the tablet since.

The tablet does not hold the battery charge. If I use it for say 30 minutes and then leave it overnight, the battery is completely flat.

Every few days I have to do a factory reset as the tablet becomes unusable due to programs crashing. This is ridiculous. I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII which is also an Android operating system and this has been far superior. I have not had a problem with programs crashing on this. When I do a factory reset I loose all of my programs and have to re-install them again. I do not have the time or the inclination to do this every few days.

I contacted the manufacturers and they have said that I have had the tablet too long to return it so I think this particular tablet is going to end up in the bin. It is not fit for anything else.

Do not buy one of these tablets. They should not be on the market.

I do love this tablet overall however I do a few small niggles.

1 The processor cannot handle many things going at once. If I have my e-mail account set to automatically refresh like my android phone, it can run on the internet a little slowly. Careful management of running applications is required to get the best from it.

2 The battery power is around 4 hours, which is great but not brilliant

3 File transfer seems slow to me. When I transfer files from a USB stick to it, it takes a while. Far longer than the Windows laptop I have.

Good stuff

It plays ITV player catchup TV, and BBCi player and any uploaded movies without a hitch.
It runs better on Opera browser than the stock one, but Opera will not load every web page.
I am never off the thing, so it's always on charge and the stock charging cable is about a metre. If it was 5 metres, that would be better. Buy a long 240v USB charger plug and a 5 metre Mini USB cable and you are sorted!!
